My health and fitness journey began in 2010, when I found myself over 200 pounds, pre-diabetic, and experiencing frequent fainting spells due to hypoglycemia. The last time I passed out, I decided I didn’t want to live the rest of my life that way.
That moment became the turning point that inspired me to take control of my health.I enrolled at the National Personal Training Institute to learn everything I could to get healthier and stronger.
Since then, I’ve made it a personal mission to pursue continued education and certifications every single year to expand my knowledge and skills.
Over the years, I’ve gone from running a half marathon to competing at an elite level in CrossFit.
When COVID hit, I shifted my focus to giving my body the recovery it needed and transitioned into a deeper focus on holistic health, wellness, and longevity. I
I’m truly excited to bring the knowledge, experience, and passion I’ve gained over the past 15+ years into the studio and to contribute to a culture of growth and well-being.
Thank you so much for such a warm welcome and I am looking forward to making a positive impact here!

I found my passion in fitness after graduating high school at 85 pounds. I lacked confidence and found it in exercise!
My love for fitness continues to grow every single day since! I am ACE Certified and have 3+ years of experience in training with all people ranging from Division 1 athletes to surgery recovery and everything in between!
At Alloy my goal is to help anyone and everyone achieve more than they thought they ever could!

Growing up in the Pacific Northwest, I’ve been involved in sports my entire life; so it was a natural decision to continue on into the fitness industry after earning my degree in Health & Physical Education while competing for my NCAA track team.
I now have 20 years experience coaching. With the right guidance and encouragement, I believe every individual has what it takes to achieve their fitness & lifestyle goals. With enough consistency and perseverance, people discover their capabilities through exercise and fitness and truly begin to inspire themselves. I aspire to be one of those professionals anyone can come to for the help! Our physical health and fitness is truly a lifestyle choice whether you want to compete and run a marathon or just want to become stronger so that your daily activities don’t cause stress or pain.
I look forward to educating and getting to know each and every client that attends my sessions at Alloy!

My name is Makaela Powell and I'm a NASM certified personal trainer. I received my bachelor's degree in Health and Exercise science from CSU in 2021. I have years of experience training one on one clients as well as leading group classes.
Before my training experience, I worked at a physical therapy clinic so I'm big on corrective exercise and mobility as well as functional strength training.
I did competitive gymnastics my whole life so I've always been super active and into fitness. I love that I can take that passion of mine and use it to help others reach their goals and find a love for fitness and what it can do for you.
